A strong year of growth within the Bristol and Bath region alongside wider national expansion has seen RWK Goodman collect a headline win at a leading South West legal industry awards.

The firm won National Law Firm of the Year at the 2026 Bristol Legal Awards, improving on its shortlisting in 2025 following another phase of consistent strategic development towards its ambitions of achieving £100m in turnover by 2030.

The award recognises firms which not only demonstrate ‘excellence in the provision of legal services and to the legal sector’ but also showcases ‘significant development’ over the previous 12 months.

Paul Daniels, managing partner of RWK Goodman, said: “It’s a significant testament to our people to be named the National Law Firm of the Year winner at this year’s Bristol Legal Awards and I’m thrilled to see our ambitions recognised in this manner.

“Receiving this accolade from our peers within the region highlights our unwavering commitment to not only our people and our culture, but also our delivery of exceptional service to our clients. As we continue our ambitious path of growth as a firm, touch points like this are very welcome as they indicate we are on the right track.”

During the qualifying period, the firm appointed three new partners into Bristol in Richard Adams (Construction), David Benjamin (Property Disputes) and Zoe Porter (Family), while also strengthening its capabilities from within with a further three appointed to the partnership and two more promoted within the partnership itself.

The increase in capability allows teams in the South West to not only deliver additional high-quality service to clients and advise on significant matters within the region such as the firm’s support of private equity group Rockpool on their investment into Bristol-based assistive technology company CareScribe, but showcase a deepening commitment with the local community through support of groups like Bristol City Cerebal Palsy FC.

The accolade is the latest achievement for the firm, which is also shortlisted for the UK Mid-sized Firm of the Year award at the 2026 British Legal Awards in November, marking the second straight year the firm has achieved a nomination.

Clinical Negligence partner Abigail Ringer was also shortlisted on the evening for Lawyer of the Year.
