RWK Goodman expands property litigation expertise with strategic partner appointment in Bristol

RWK Goodman has continued building its national expertise across real estate and property dispute support with the appointment of David Benjamin as a partner.

David, who joins the firm’s Bristol office from boutique real estate firm Estate Legal and following time spent at Burges Salmon and Foot Anstey, brings more than a decade of experience supporting clients across all aspects of real estate-related litigation and dispute resolution.

Listed in leading directories including the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners UK for property litigation within the South West, David advises on a range of contentious and risk management matters including business lease renewals, forfeiture and possession claims, dilapidations, rent and service charge recovery, and development disputes.

He also serves as Chair of the South West and South Wales division of the Property Litigation Association, an organisation for legal professionals specialising in property litigation which looks to advocate, educate, and share best practice across the property industry.

David said: “I’m excited to be joining RWK Goodman’s real estate team and help power forward the firm’s growth across the national market. The firm has a solid ambition to build a robust capability of client support across all matters in the property sphere, and it was this focus which appealed to me.

“I look forward to working with the rest of the team and continue to deliver the high-quality service clients expect from RWK Goodman.”

The appointment is the latest hire into RWK Goodman’s national real estate team, following partner Lara Hourihan joining the firm’s London office in March 2026, and expands the team’s growing capability and capacity to support clients across all matters of commercial work.

Dominic Whelan, head of RWK Goodman’s real estate team, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome David to RWK Goodman and our growing national real estate practice. His experience supporting clients across a range of property litigation matters and advocacy for the sector complements our existing practice well.

“The wider real estate team has gone from strength to strength, with key senior hires like David and Lara helping position us to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve achieved in previous years and align suitability with our strategy of future growth in our focus areas while supporting our clients with exceptional service.”
