About Zoe:
Zoe is a Partner in our Family team, based in our Bristol office.
Zoe specialises in the financial aspects of a relationship breakdown. She has over 25 years’ experience in dealing with complex and high value divorces which typically include foreign assets, trusts, inherited wealth and her particular specialisms – divorces involving businesses and wealth protection.
She has acted for a wide range of high profile client including pop stars, actresses and sports personalities and she is a trained collaborative lawyer and a Resolution accredited specialist. She is a Leading Partner in The Legal 500 and is ranked in Chambers and Partners.
Zoe is regularly instructed by businessmen wishing to protect their business assets or have expert help in a relationship breakdown which involves a business interest, and has extensive experience in dealing with all kinds of businesses from leisure to those involving factories overseas.

Experience:
- Acting on behalf of a business owner with a complicated business structure in contested proceedings with assets over £5million. Reaching a deal which gave the client the facility to pay a lump sum over a period of time, preserving the income stream of the business. A 50/50 division overall
- Acting on behalf of a well known sports personality in a high profile divorce in London. Settling the case on the terms offered by Zoe at the start, after a protracted court process. Obtaining a partial costs order. Dealing with the press and helping to protect the clients reputation.
- Acting on behalf of the lead singer of a rock band. Advising on post separation wealth and dealing with various different business interests, all linked to the income steam of the clients music tours and records.
- Acting on behalf of a husband where all of the wealth was transgenerational wealth involving property and trusts. Settling the case on the basis of ‘modest’ needs for he wife, protecting husband’s assets.
- Acting on behalf of a wife in a long marriage where both parties were farmers wishing to retain the same farm. The case was settled during proceedings with both parties receiving separate parts of the farm and the wife also receiving a sizeable lump sum. This case involved working with no only land agents and surveyors but boundary experts to ensure that the farm was divided fairly.
- Acting on behalf of a wife to draft a complicated post nuptial agreement to protect the business interests handed to her by her parents. This case involved assets of around £30m.
