About David:
David is a Partner in our Property Disputes team, based in our Bristol office.
David is highly experienced in all areas of property related dispute resolution. Described by Chambers and Partners as “quick, commercial and bright”, David is focused on getting results for clients across all sectors.
He has many years of expertise in advising clients across a full range of contentious and risk management issues relating to real estate. He regularly advises on business lease renewals, forfeiture and possession claims, rent/service charge recovery, dilapidations and development disputes.
David is listed in both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for property litigation. He is the Chair of the Property Litigation Association for the South West and South Wales with responsibility for delivering training to members on new and developing areas of property law.

Experience:
- Advising a global investment bank in relation to asset management issues across the client’s UK office portfolio including office relocation into new central London HQ and landlord and tenant and dilapidations claims.
- Advising a high profile national retailer in relation to all asset management issues across its portfolio of 300 properties, providing strategic advice and leading the team which manages its property operations.
- Acting for the successful claimant tenant in the High Court case of Goldman Sachs International v Procession House Trustee Ltd & another (2018)
- Acting for the claimant in the High Court and then Court of Appeal in the case of Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd v Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd.
- Acting for Platform (part of The Co-Operative Bank) in relation to a subrogation / possession claim at The Central London County Court.
- Acting for a property investment company in defence of an application for an injunction relating to Hays Galleria, London.
- Advising a global asset management company in relation to defective glazing issues at a major building in Canary Wharf.
