RWK Goodman advises the owners of Twickenham Plating Group on sale to Roxbi Capital
RWK Goodman has advised the owners of Twickenham Plating Group Ltd (TPG) on its sale to Roxbi Capital.
TPG provides specialist technical plating services for mission critical components across electronics, telecommunication, aerospace, military, automotive and other industries. Founded in 1947, it is headquartered in Twickenham, Middlesex with operations in Poole, Dorset.
TPG’s owners were looking for a buyer who would preserve the business’ almost 80-year legacy, whilst also continuing to build on its recent growth. Roxbi Capital emerged as the right buyer due to its owner operator model, combined with its founder’s experience in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Whilst Managing Directors Jonathan Hill and David Hill will be exiting, the rest of the TPG team will remain with the company.
The RWK Goodman team was led by Freya Still supported by Edward Hoare, Alicia Chown and Lewis Howel. Marktlink UK were the lead corporate advisers, led by Victoria Ansell, with George Tzimas and Aakil Khambati. Tax advice was provided by Gravita. Roxbi Capital was supported by Irwin Mitchell (legal) and Buzzacott (FDD).
Edward Hoare, Partner, RWK Goodman, commented:
“TPG is a quality, profitable, high-tech British business and we’re proud to have supported David and Jonathan on its sale to a committed successor for the long term. It was a pleasure to advise them on this transaction and to showcase our M&A expertise.”
Jonathan Hill, Managing Director of Twickenham Plating Group, added:
“Freya and the team at RWK Goodman provided excellent legal support throughout the process. Their technical expertise, pragmatic advice and clear focus on our commercial objectives helped ensure a smooth and efficient transaction.”
