RWK Goodman advises Flex Capital and its portfolio company Optix on acquisition of Opticabase

RWK Goodman has advised German private equity firm Flex Capital and its UK portfolio company Optix on the acquisition of Opticabase – a UK based supplier of software solutions for optometrists.

Optix is a UK based supplier of optometrist practice management software solutions and since 2023 has formed part of the pan-European EVEX Group. EVEX Group was formed by Flex Capital in 2021 with the acquisitions of Amparex and IPRO and an aim to supply innovative software solutions for audiologists and optometrists across the European market.

Berlin-based FLEX Capital is a private equity fund founded by Christoph Jost and Peter Waleczek that invests in software and internet businesses in the mid-market.

Flex Capital’s Rebecca Rodenbücher instructed the RWK Goodman team which was led by senior associate Catherine Hayes with support from Hector Freyne (corporate), Charlotte Ebbutt (commercial) and Holly Freuchen (employment).
