About Alex:

Alex is a Partner in our Private Client team, based in our Oxford office.

Alex joined RWK Goodman after spending 10 years as a Partner and head of the private wealth & taxation department at a boutique practice in Buckinghamshire.

Alex brings a wealth of succession planning knowledge for business owners. He has particular expertise undertaking estate planning with assets that qualify for business and agricultural relief, including the transfer of business shares into trust during the course of business disposal.

He has acted as trustee for many trusts, including charitable trusts, and can undertake all tax compliance for large trusts and estates. He can separately advise on the creation of family investment companies and other wealth management structures, suitable for higher net worth clients.

Alex can assist with a broad range of private client matters, including the preparation of Wills, tax and succession planning, as well as trust and estate administration.

After the publication of a blog article in 2021, Alex has developed a particular expertise in advising on the dissolution of asset protection trusts. That article gained significant traction online and led to Alex being quoted in the Telegraph and The Times and interviewing with the BBC. Alex has separately assisted Dan Neidle of Tax Policy Associates with his investigation into these, often mis-sold, trusts.
