Elizabeth Painter

Lizzy advises her clients across the entire life cycle of a construction and engineering projects. Lizzy provides strategic advice at the outset of a project, relating to procurement issues and risk management (including the benefits of obtaining construction security, such as collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees). Throughout the pre-construction stage, Lizzy prepares and negotiates both industry standard and bespoke forms of contract/appointments etc. Lizzy has particular experience advising on the risks associated with using the JCT and NEC suites of contract. During the construction period and post-delivery of a project, Lizzy advises clients on construction and engineering disputes, and most importantly, how to achieve pragmatic and commercial resolutions.

Lizzy also works cohesively with her property colleagues to deliver development and lease transaction (etc) for mutual clients.

Experience

Lizzy is the current Chair of the Generation for Change (G4C) South West. The G4C is the professional voice of young people in the UK built environment industry. The G4C’s agenda is to drive change in the industry, through the development and connection of the future leaders.
