Lizzy advises clients across the entire supply chain on non-contentious matters relating to construction and engineering projects. She works with employers, developers, funders, contractors, consultants and specialist subcontractors, helping them structure, procure and deliver projects.

Her advice covers procurement strategy, risk allocation, contract strategy and the preparation and negotiation of standard form and bespoke building contracts, consultant appointments, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, third party rights, bonds and guarantees.

Lizzy is experienced in managing stakeholder requirements, including funder, purchaser, tenant and project team expectations, and ensuring that documentation supports the commercial objectives of all parties. She also provides project counsel during construction and after delivery, helping clients resolve issues pragmatically and commercially.

• Advising a Housing Association on the bespoke development of a specialist housing project for adults with learning disabilities or complex care needs, together with staff units, involving securing funding from NHS England and local Councils.
• Advising a Tech Company on a £50million commercial fit-out of a new research, laboratory and manufacturing space, with ancillary strategic power upgrades, to facilitate our client’s growth strategy.
• Advising a family-run Holiday Home developer on the design and construction of a new spa, lido and leisure development at one of their communities, to provide an innovative lake-side and eco-friendly outdoor spa destination for their customers.
• Advising a Care Home operator on the design and construction of a new bed care home, and the grant of an associated development facility from a commercial bank.
• Advising a Commercial Lender on the construction elements of a £17m development facility for a mixed-use residential and commercial scheme.
• Advising a Civils Contractor to secure a place on the prestigious National Highways framework in connection with the UK motorway and trunk road network, and to subsequently engage its supply chain on appropriate terms to competently deliver the works on major road networks.
• Advising a specialist Battery and Energy Storage Contractor on the UPS systems upgrade for various flag-ship projects, including a Football Stadium and Data Centre.
• Advising a Serviced Office Space provider on several multi-million pound refurbishment projects to upgrade their portfolio, whilst ensuring the property owner’s requirements and concerns were satisfied and properly accounted for.
• Advising a Real Estate Company on the £20m redevelopment of an old industrial estate to provide c.100,000sqft of high quality commercial accommodation and warehousing, to meet modern business needs.
• Advising an RTM on the replacement cladding and associated remedial works to an apartment block, including securing the release of funding from the Building Safety Fund.
• Advising Insolvency Practitioners on the conversion and development a Grade I listed Hospitality building into several residential properties, as part of their role in the administration of the developer, to save the project to the satisfaction of the existing lender.
