The duty to prevent workplace sexual harassment – one year later | Tuesday 14 October

It's almost one year since the preventative duty on sexual harassment came into force.  This is a duty that requires employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their workers.

Given the significance of the positive continuing duty that employers have, we are holding a webinar on 14 October at 10am, where we will:

  • Remind employers of their duty,
  • Deal with how to properly assess risk for your business,
  • Look at what employers can do to ensure compliance,
  • Consider the implications of non-compliance,
  • Review the current position relating to third party harassment including how this might impact your commercial contracts with clients, contractors and suppliers,
  • Look at the proposed changes to sexual harassment law in the Employments Rights Bill and
  • Review recent sexual harassment cases.
