HR Hub: Changes to the Flexible Working Regulations / AI in the workplace

RWK Goodman & Juice Recruitment HR Hub

Join RWK Goodman's Employment & HR team and Juice Recruitment at our next HR Hub where we will discuss the upcoming changes to flexible working and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.

Changes to the Flexible Working Regulations

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been substantial changes in the attitude of towards flexible working, and it is often a key requirement for employees when deciding whether to accept job offers. The Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023, which received Royal Assent on 20 July 2023, is likely to come into force in 2024. The Act brings in a number of significant changes to the current process that all employers will need to be aware of when thinking about flexible working requests, which we will look at and talk through on the day.

Artificial Intelligence in the workplace

Artificial Intelligence has become a hot topic of discussion in the workplace with a lot of debate over the advantages and disadvantages of it being used by staff to do their jobs. Although AI is still very much in its infancy in many industries, employers will need to start thinking about its use now. We will look at some of the issues to start considering if you are going to allow staff to use AI in their roles; if staff will be banned from using it in their roles; or if, like many employers, you are as yet undecided.

During the discussion you are welcome and encouraged to share your experiences and thoughts with fellow HR professionals in a safe and confidential environment (‘Chatham House’ rules apply).
