RWK Goodman nominated for three awards at South West Rainmaker Awards

A strong year for RWK Goodman’s corporate team in the south west has seen it recognised with nominations for three awards at the inaugural edition of a leading publication’s regional business awards.
The firm has been nominated for Regional Legal Team and twice in the Medium Deal of the Year categories at TheBusinessDesk.com South West Rainmaker Awards, recognition of the team’s involvement in a number of high profile M&A transactions over the previous 12 months and its rapid pace of growth.
The awards and nominations have been decided through research and judging from more than 30 of the region’s leading corporate finance professionals, and are being held in the region for the first time this year following on from successful editions in Yorkshire, the north west, and the midlands.
The two nominations for Medium Deal of the Year recognise the firm’s work on two transactions valued between £10m-£50m, namely their work on the securing of a significant investment from LDC into credit risk technology group LendingMetrics and their support of transmission lines constructor Advantage NRG on their sale to Hercules.
The awards recognise professional service firms which had outstanding years advising businesses in the region over the last 12 months. Over that period, RWK Goodman’s south west corporate team advised on more than 30 M&A transactions and have doubled in size, including the hiring of Scott Preece to lead the firm’s venture capital team.
James Worrall, head of RWK Goodman’s corporate team, said: “It’s fantastic to see the hard work of our team recognised with these nominations, especially as they mark progress against our continued growth strategy and excellence in mid-market M&A.
“The type of deals we’ve been nominated for in this year’s Rainmakers Awards are what our team is handling on a regular basis, and it is encouraging to see our capability recognised by many of the region’s leading voices through these nominations.”
The winners will be announced at the Bristol Harbour Hotel on November 19.
