About Louise

Louise is an Associate in our Oxford personal injury team, with many years' experience representing people who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries. Her particular areas of expertise include amputation and limb loss, serious eye injuries and vision loss, chronic pain conditions, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and orthopaedic injuries.

Louise understands that the consequences of a serious injury can reach into almost every part of someone’s life. Losing sight, for example, can affect a person’s independence, employment, relationships and confidence in doing things they once took for granted. She always takes time to understand how her clients’ injuries have affected them and what support they may need, both now and in the future.

Her personal injury experience is extensive and includes claims arising from accidents at work, road traffic accidents, defective highways and accidents on other people’s premises. The injuries and conditions she deals with include:

  • Amputation and limb loss
  • Serious eye injuries, sight loss and visual impairment
  • Chronic pain
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME)
  • Orthopaedic injuries
  • Scarring
  • Psychological injuries, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Louise qualified in 1989 and spent her early legal career in London. She joined Oxford firm Marshall & Galpin in 1993 and moved to RWK Goodman following the merger of the two firms in 2008.
