Founded in 1990, Wiltshire Air Ambulance provides an essential service to those injured in accidents in the county. The Pilot, Paramedic and Police Observer on board the Air Ambulance are on hand in life and death situations where the speed of the helicopter and the skill of the crew’s make a dramatic difference to a patient’s outcome.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance received a boost of £3,939, a third of the total Withy King has raised since the beginning of the year. The total £11,817 has been split evenly between three charities in the three key regions in which the firm operates.

Withy King partner Robert Collins said: “This is the first year that Withy King has involved all staff in decisions on charitable giving. With an overwhelming number of worthy causes, it makes sense to let the whole firm decide. We are very pleased that Wiltshire Air Ambulance emerged as the winning charity in the Wiltshire region.

“This is a cause that is very close to our hearts. As a law firm with a strong personal injury practice and many clients in rural locations, we know only too well how critical it is to have prompt emergency help immediately after an accident. We are proud to know that our contribution will go some way to helping those injured.”

Withy King has pledged to hold further fundraising activities in its Swindon and Marlborough offices in the hopes of adding more money to the charity’s pot by the end of the year.

Caroline Corrigan, Head of Fundraising at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said: “We are extremely happy to have been chosen by Withy King as their charity of the year in Swindon. Their support will really help to boost our profile with their clients and staff, helping to show how vital our work is in the Wiltshire community. Money raised from all their fundraising efforts will help to keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives. We look forward to working with them over the coming year.”
