RWK Goodman strengthens Health & Social Care Real Estate expertise with London partner appointment
RWK Goodman has bolstered its leading Health & Social Care sector practice with the key strategic appointment of Real Estate partner Lara Hourihan in the firm’s London office.
Lara joins the firm after more than a decade at Trowers & Hamlins, where she supported investors, developers and operators in the care, later living and housing sectors across a range of matters including complex land acquisitions, development, joint ventures, real estate finance, regeneration projects and TOGC transactions. She has previously worked in-house for a retirement living provider.
Her appointment marks a key strategic addition to the firm’s growing Health & Social Care team, which saw 34% growth over the last full financial year.
Lara said: “I’m excited to be joining RWK Goodman and contribute to the team’s growth nationwide. The firm is committed to supporting care and later living providers and the team’s deep market expertise and understanding of provider challenges closely align with my own experience, making this move an excellent fit.”
Hazel Phillips, Head of RWK Goodman’s Health & Social Care sector team, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lara, whose strong real estate background and specialist Health & Social Care experience will be invaluable.
“Her appointment marks a key step in our sector team’s strategic development – reinforcing our commitment to delivering an integrated service across a wide range of areas, whilst providing specialist sector knowledge.”
Lara’s appointment follows the team’s recognition for its transactional work in 2025 through its shortlisting at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026 for Legal Advisors of the Year – Transactional.
