About Roisin

Before joining RWK Goodman, Roisin worked at West Mercia Police where she gained experience with their in-house legal team. She was routinely involved in contract, debt and employment matters, civil litigation, claims under the Human Rights Act, inquests, firearms appeals and complex disclosure matters. She also represented the Police in court and participated in the team’s ‘duty solicitor’ scheme, providing ad-hoc advice across all areas of legal practice.

Roisin obtained a degree in Law from the University of Birmingham (LLB) in 2014 before completing a Masters in Professional Legal Practice (LLM) at The University of Law where she was awarded a distinction.


Roisin obtains compensation for clients who have suffered Personal Injury in variety of settings including road traffic accidents, cycling accidents, accidents at work, accidents involving animals and public liability matters. She has specialist expertise in representing individuals who have lost a loved one as a result of a fatal accident as well as representing clients without capacity in their claims for personal injury.

Having worked closely with the Compensation Protection Unit (CPU) throughout her career at RWK Goodman, Roisin boasts a wealth of experience in protecting compensation awards for clients who have been injured through Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence. She regularly works with clients who have cerebral palsy, brain and spinal chord injuries as well as those with learning difficulties or mental health issues. Roisin is a strong proponent of the team around the client approach which sits at the heart of CPU’s practice. You can expect Roisin to dedicate herself to finding the best way to support and empower each of her clients to achieve the optimal result in any given situation; promoting their best interests and helping them to progress throughout life in a supported way, whilst maintaining the ability to pursue opportunities which best reflect their individual personalities, desires and best interests to achieve happy and fulfilling lives.

Roisin is National Representative for the Bristol Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) sitting on committee meetings in Bristol and London. She also  represents the interests of junior lawyers in the region at committee meetings of the Bristol Law Society.

Outside of work

Before starting her training contract, Roisin spent 3 months travelling in South East Asia before settling in Vietnam for 6 months where she lectured in English Law at the British University in Hanoi.

Roisin enjoys travelling and has also worked in a legal capacity in Cape Town, South Africa. Roisin likes to keep active and recently completed her first half marathon. She can regularly be found attending live music events in Bristol and exploring the city based on recommendations from fellow foodies.
