About Georgina

Georgina is an Associate in the Family team, specialising in Children Law.

Georgina graduated from the University of Surrey in 2010 and has since worked in both in house for several Local Authorities and also in private practice gaining a variety of skills. This allows Georgina to provide a different insight to parents and Guardians who are involved with the Local Authority. Where possible Georgina undertakes her own advocacy to provide clients with the consistency and security that they are being represented by the lawyer who knows their case best.

Georgina undertakes Children Law work, focusing on the following areas:

  • Representing parents during the pre proceedings process under the Public Law Outline
  • Representing parents, children (both through their Children’s Guardian and direct) and other family members in care proceedings where the local authority has made an application to court
  • Representing parents in respect of various issues, including obtaining parental responsibility, contact disputes and determining where a child should live
  • Special guardianship matters

"The experience I’ve had to date is head and shoulders above any other contact I’ve had with solicitors.

Georgina has excellent interpersonal skills, she actually cares. She has given me the time I need to ensure that this horrific situation isn’t made worse by feeling ignored or unimportant due to work load which is a tremendous skill in itself. I know I’m not her only client but feel like I am.

Her strategy and knowledge of how to unpick my case fills me with confidence."
