Withy King announces record 18 per cent growth in turnover
Withy King, which has principal offices in Bath, Swindon and Oxford, has announced a record 18 per cent growth in turnover to almost £22m in the year ending April 2015.
The firm’s growth, which has been largely organic, was boosted by the merger with Swindon-based firm Lemon & Co and Oxford-based practice Edward Pilling & Co last summer.
Graham Street, Managing Partner at Withy King, said: “Back in 2012, we set ourselves a challenging target for organic growth, underpinned by appropriate investment across all our practice areas as well as in our business support functions. I am delighted to say that our year on year performance continues to exceed both our target and our expectations. Recent acquisition opportunities in Swindon and Oxford have enabled further consolidation in our existing office locations. We look forward to continuing with our current investment programme, supplemented where possible, by strategically targeted acquisitions.”
Earlier this year, Withy King was ranked 42nd in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For in 2015 – up from 58th position last year. The firm was also awarded the highly sought-after Best Companies Two Star ‘Outstanding’ Accreditation for the second year running.
Withy King is a full-service law firm offering a comprehensive range of services to businesses and private individuals. Many of its teams are recognised nationally for their expertise in specialist areas, such as cerebral palsy claims and head and spinal injuries. Chambers’ independent legal directory has named 35 solicitors from Withy King as ‘Leaders in their Field’.
Withy King employs 328 people across a network of offices, including Queen Square and Midland Bridge in Bath, Swindon, Marlborough, Oxford, Abingdon and Thame.
