About Graham
Graham has been Managing Partner of RWK Goodman since 2010. He has overseen its growth and development to become a UK Top 100 law firm with a growing reputation for its commercial, private and injury work as well as it’s specialist work in the health and social care, banking and financial services, retail and technology sectors.
As well as serving as Managing Partner, Graham is well known for his work as a senior Construction Lawyer. He is an expert in project procurement and construction disputes.
Clients say he has “commanding knowledge of the law relating to the construction industry, a “practical approach to complex risk issues”, and “particularly effective communication”. He has also been described by clients as “approachable, personable and a pleasure to work with” and by contemporaries as “easy to do business with”. Graham has extensive experience in:
- Project procurement - advising developers, employers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants within the construction industry on a range of procurement alternatives, including standard and non-standard building and engineering contracts, consultant appointment and due diligence for banks and other funders.
- Construction dispute resolution, including adjudication, arbitration and litigation often in relation to project delay, building defects and/or payment issues.
Over the years I’ve found that the only way you can really get to grips with the issues facing clients is by investing time early on in the relationship. It’s the best way to understand their commercial priorities – what keeps them awake at night? How can we provide straightforward legal advice if we don’t do that?
That’s what I want the team to aim for every time. We will only add value to our clients if we cut through legal complexities and give clear direction – in their language.
