RWK Goodman named Legal Advisor of the Year at 2025 EntreConf Awards

Posted in Corporate

RWK Goodman has been recognised for its strong growth and support of the South West’s entrepreneurial community with success at the 2025 EntreConf awards.

The firm was named Legal Advisor of the Year at the awards, held at Bristol’s Aerospace, recognising a strong 12 months of client work and team expansion, particularly in the firm’s Bristol office.

The award recognises the law firm which has acted as a trusted and innovative advisor to entrepreneurs and businesses across the South West, with a particular focus on providing advice on transactions, funding rounds, corporate structures, and IP.

James Worrall, head of RWK Goodman’s corporate team, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to be named Legal Advisor of the Year and have our work with entrepreneurs and scaling businesses within Bristol and the wider South West recognised in such a manner.

“Our team has been going from strength to strength in recent years, backed by the opening and rapid growth of our Bristol office, and this award is a testament to our dedication to provide high-quality client service and legal expertise within the South West and beyond.

“The South West is an exciting place to be for entrepreneurs and businesses looking to expand and invest in their own future, and we’re proud to be a leading part of that strong advisory network within the region helping businesses unlock the next step of their growth.”

Over the award qualifying period between April 2024 and March 2025, the firm’s corporate team saw significant expansion, advising on more than 30 M&A transactions and investments as well as recruiting eight new members to meet increasing demand for work.

The expansion tied into the strong growth and development of the firm’s Bristol office, which opened in March 2024 and has since seen numerous partners hired into it.

Venture capital partner Scott Preece and planning partner Stephen Jefferson joined in September 2024, real estate partner Rhodri Glyn in October 2024, and dispute resolution partner Simon Price and commercial partner Mike Ahyow in April 2025.

The award win follows the wider firm’s nomination for UK Firm of the Year – Mid-sized at the 2025 British Legal Awards, and the achieving of 29 recommended practice areas in the 2026 Legal 500.
