RWK Goodman and Bishop Fleming advise Sterimed on its acquisition of Granton Medical, a leading provider of medical packaging solutions in the UK

Sterimed Group, through its UK subsidiary Westfield Medical, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Granton Medical, a leading manufacturer of sterilization pouches and provider of packing services for the medical device industry in the UK.

The Granton family owners were pioneers of sterile packs for single-use surgical blades back in the 1960’s and Granton Medical has grown to be the largest manufacturer of self-seal pouches for sterilization centres and hospitals in the UK. The company has successfully developed a contract packing offering under the brand name Cleanline®, encompassing medical device cleaning, assembly and packaging solutions, performed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom. Granton also offers printed roll stock of sterilizable packaging materials to medical device manufacturers.

Sterimed were advised by an RWK Goodman team including James Worrall and Freya Still (Corporate), Tim Gofton (Employment) and Dan Pinheiro (Real Estate), working alongside Joe Coghlan and Charles Davey at Bishop Fleming (Corporate Finance advisors to Sterimed).
