RWK Goodman aims to raise £20,000 for charity through ‘Step Ahead’ walking challenge from Bath to London
We have planned a 130-mile sponsored walk, with the aim of raising £20,000 for charities Centrepoint, Sobell House, Swindon Food Collective and Trauma Breakthrough.
The ‘Step Ahead Challenge’ will see our staff and partners walk the distance between their Bath and London offices, over 10 working days from 12th-23rd September.
Our offices in Bath, London, Oxford and Swindon have respective charities they raise money for all year round (London - Centrepoint, Oxford - Sobell House, Swindon - Swindon Food Collective, and Bath - Trauma Breakthrough.)
We previously did the challenge in 2018 when 130 employees participated in the walk and they raised over £17,000.
Sophie Webb, chair of our charities committee, comments: “The 2018 event was incredibly successful. As well as raising almost £18,000 for our chosen charities, we found that the event itself was extremely inclusive and we wanted to embrace that. Walkers don’t have to be super athletic to take part; it’s a challenge that many across the firm feel they can participate in.”
Corporate social responsibility is one of the core values that our firm has been built on and is an inherent part of the firm’s culture.
Throughout the year, partners and staff are heavily involved in a wide range of charitable and community-led initiatives.
