About Sophie
Sophie is an Associate in the Family team in our Bath office.
Sophie qualified in September 2018 and advises on the following areas:
- Public Children Law, including care proceedings and pre-proceedings (social services before they go to court)
- Private Children Law, including child arrangements, specific issue orders, prohibited steps orders
- Domestic violence cases including non-molestation orders, occupation orders and the link between domestic abuse and children matters.
Charities Committee
As Chair of RWK Goodman’s firmwide Charities Committee, Sophie engages with local and national charities and is actively involved shaping our charitable giving and community involvement strategy, from appointing our chosen charities to fundraising. Sophie led our 2018 Step Ahead Challenge which raised a total of £18,000 for charity.
In her spare time, Sophie also volunteers for Bath Rugby Foundation and ran The Bath Half Marathon in 2019.
I would like to take the opportunity to express my immense gratitude to you for all that you have done. Your patience, understanding and perseverance as-well as guidance has been immeasurable over the past 2 years for which I do not feel that thank you is enough however, thank you for everything.
I just want to sat thank you so much for your support, I walked into this situation completely vulnerable and unaware of what was ahead of me; every time you put me at ease explaining each step and process to me fully. I am extremely grateful to you.
