RWK Goodman negotiates sale of Somerset adult care businesses
A Somerset-based company which provides residential care for adults with physical, learning and mental health disabilities, has sold its care home and homecare businesses for an undisclosed sum with help from the Health & Social Care team at law firm RWK Goodman.
Sandringham Care Limited, owners of Church View (Liberare) in St Andrews Road, Taunton, and Church View Care Services in Billetfield, Taunton, has been sold to National Care Group which is adding to its rapidly-expanding portfolio. The purchase also included three residential properties which were let to their service users.
National Care Group (NCG) is an established group caring for younger adults with a wide range of care needs in a variety of settings. The acquisition adds 11 beds (plus additional care provided within individuals’ own properties) to NCG’s portfolio of 700 as part of its ongoing strategy to provide high quality care to vulnerable individuals.
Hazel Phillips, partner and head of the Health & Social Care team at RWK Goodman, said: “We are very pleased to have helped the owner of Sandringham Care to sell her businesses as a going concern, having achieved the outcome she was looking for. There is a healthy level of demand in the adult social care market, particularly from new entrants looking to build and diversify their care portfolios.”
RWK Goodman’s Health & Social Care team based in Bath, Swindon, Oxford and London has a proven track record of working with care providers, dental surgeries, GP practices and pharmacies.
Agents Christie & Co acted for Sandringham Care whilst law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys and agents Carterwood acted for National Care Group.
