RWK Goodman bags judging spot at Autumn Fair

The Autumn Fair took place from 4 September to 7 September 2016 at the Birmingham NEC. It is regarded as one of the most important dates in the calendar for those exhibiting and operating in the gift and home industry and in the jewellery, fashion and accessories sectors.

The event continues to attract thousands of businesses exhibiting their products and visitors wanting to buy. The show’s big sister, The Spring Fair, has been running uninterrupted at the NEC since 1976.

Jack Pestill, dispute resolution solicitor based in our City office, was on hand this year to meet with long-standing clients including, East of India, Richard Lang & Sons, Mercy Jewellery, members of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), and the British Travelgoods and Accessories Association (BTAA). With RWK Goodman’s wealth of expertise in this area, he also provided advice on design and brand protection issues and intellectual property rights.

Commenting on the event, Jack said: “I was delighted to have the honour of presenting the BTAA’s awards for “Fashion Handbag of the Year” at the BTAA’s annual award ceremony, where the winner was in fact RWK Goodman client, Mala Leather. The event was a great success, building on previous years and rewarding excellence in design. The clients and contacts that I spoke with seemed genuinely excited about the recent merger between Royds LLP and Withy King LLP on 1 September 2016 and the benefits that would bring.”
