RWK Goodman supports Mental Health Awareness Week 2019

Mental Health Awareness Week

RWK Goodman is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 as part of its commitment to developing a positive culture of health and wellbeing.

The annual campaign is run by the Mental Health Foundation to drive conversations on mental health to create lasting change.

Colleagues are being invited to attend mindfulness sessions led by external experts, while guest bloggers from different areas of the firm are sharing their experiences of mental health issues. Mindfulness has been shown to be extremely useful in reducing stress and easing anxiety as well as numerous other benefits.

RWK Goodman will also be launching new e-learning modules on wellbeing through its online training and development portal for staff. These sessions will focus on managing stress, creating balance and boosting energy levels.

The activities are being co-ordinated by the firm’s wellbeing task group, led by Partner Tracy Norris-Evans, who said: “Our wellbeing task group was set up to better understand the role of the firm in improving colleagues’ sense of wellbeing at work and empowering them to access the increasing amount of support available.

“Our task group has been developing a strategy to embed a positive culture of health and wellbeing within our firm.

“Supporting a national campaign such as Mental Health Awareness Week is a great opportunity to make even more progress.  One in four of us will experience a mental health issue each year, so it is important that we provide people with a supportive working environment and sign post the help that’s available, should they ever need it.”
