About Tracy

Tracy is head of our Injury division, and a partner specialising in complex personal injury and medical negligence cases of maximum severity, especially paediatric claims.

Tracy is so interested in medicine that she has been appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Based in our Oxford office, Tracy represents clients across the country.

Tracy understands the damaging effect of injury on the entire family and she appreciates the importance of achieving the right level of compensation, as well as making sure it lasts her clients for their lifetime. She has specialised in personal injury and clinical negligence catastrophic claims since 1989 and has successfully recovered damages in excess of £50m for her clients.

Tracy is independently recognised as a “Leader in her field” in the areas of both personal injury and clinical negligence law by legal directories Chambers & Partners UK and The Legal 500 UK. Chambers sources state she “takes on a trusted adviser role for clients and is actively involved in the situation to make sure all needs are covered.” The Legal 500 has described her as a “skillful and empathic communicator” who is “extremely knowledgeable and committed to her clients“, the latest edition stating she is “the standout partner, undertaking both clinical negligence, personal injury and court of protection cases. She is thorough and very professional.”

Tracy heads the firm’s personal injury team and her specialisms include:

  • injury claims to children through birth injury or accident
  • head injury cases
  • stroke as a consequence of physiotherapy
  • acting as a Professional Trustee or Deputy for clients.

Her high profile cases are regularly reported in legal publications including Lawtel, MedNeg, APIL and Healthcare Risk.

Tracy became head of the personal injury team following the merger of RWK Goodman and Marshall & Galpin in 2008. She also heads up the Compensation Protection Unit across the firm.
