Health and social care experts at RWK Goodman support successful completion of Dorset

The Health and Social Care team at RWK Goodman has successfully completed the purchase of a residential care home in a deal co-ordinated by specialist advisers.

The team led by Partner Hazel Phillips, successfully advised WCN Care Stour Road Care Home Limited on the acquisition of Reside Care Homes based in Dorset from Reside Care Homes Limited and Hadland Care Group Limited.

Despite the care sector being a highly regulated one, it is also a highly rewarding area to work in. Dr Toby Williams and Dr Rob Conway, the directors of WCN Care, are both passionate about provision of excellent nursing and residential care in a safe, warm, happy environment that is homely in scale.

Hazel Phillips, who is joint head of our Health and Social Care team, said: “We are delighted to support investment into the care sector. We are working with an increasing number of buyers like Toby and Rob who wish to use their skills and experience in healthcare, to drive further improvements within the care homes they acquire. We look forward to working with Toby and Rob on their plans to build up a portfolio of care businesses.”

Dr Toby Williams the Managing Director of WCN Care said: “We are thrilled that the WCN Care family is growing with the addition of Stour Road Care Home. St Anne’s Nursing Home in Southbourne, our first home, is just up the road and we anticipate great synergy. We look forward to building ever stronger relationships with our Stakeholders in the local communities of Christchurch and Southbourne.”

Charles Phillips of Christie and Co acted as sales agent, said: “We were very pleased to have been instructed to sell Reside Care Homes on behalf of Hadland Care Group and having assisted WCN Care with their first acquisition, we felt they were perfect purchasers for this home. We wish Toby and Rob every success with their future plans.”

Stour Road Care Home will provide accommodation and personal care for up to 20 residents. It provides care for adults over 65 and specialises in providing dementia care in a warm and homely environment.
