Compensation secured for severe horse kick which caused ongoing pain
Our client was employed as a Yard Manager when she had her accident. Unfortunately, our client’s colleague was unable to keep two horses apart and our client couldn’t do anything as the horse she was holding kicked out. Our client suffered a spinal fracture, which was displaced and caused significant haematomas, and a fractured coccyx. Our client now suffers ongoing pain caused by post-traumatic coccydynia.
After bringing a claim on behalf of our client under the Animals Act and for negligence, the defendant admitted liability and the case was settled for £120,000 after negotiations with the defendant.
