Mr K was an 81 year old widower who had worked erecting agricultural buildings between 1948 and 1971. He was on holiday abroad when he became short of breath. He was quite poorly, and had to be airlifted home. Medical investigations showed he had fluid on his lungs, and a biopsy confirmed this was as a result of mesothelioma.
