April 2024: Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month

Posted in Amputation, Injury

Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month is an annual campaign, which is the result of brilliant collaboration from multiple UK limb loss and limb difference organisations.

The objective is to raise awareness and educate about the realities of living with limb loss and limb difference.

The campaign comes at a particularly important time. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a disproportionate effect on people with disabilities, and many describe increased feelings of social isolation.

The last few years have been an especially difficult time for charities. Many have faced greater than ever demand on their services at a time when they have lost out on fundraising opportunities due to the pandemic.

You can find out more about the collaboration here.
