£975,000 recovered following GP’s failure to diagnose Strep A infection

The lady had contracted Group A Strep infection, due to the delay in attending hospital the infection was able to take hold and widespread septicemia was established. This in turn led to multi organ failure and subsequent cardiac arrest. During the arrest the brain was starved of oxygen and the brain tissue became permanently damaged. Our client was left with a significant brain injury requiring care and support for the remainder of her life.
