For our first HR Highlight we’ll discuss upcoming changes in relation to unfair dismissal.

From 1 January 2027, all employees with six months’ service or more will have the right to bring unfair dismissal claims in the employment tribunal and the statutory cap on unfair dismissal compensatory awards will be removed so any compensation will be uncapped. This represents a seismic shift which will affect all employers.

In preparation, we will revisit the law on unfair dismissal and present a primer for businesses on how to dismiss fairly and reduce legal risks (and costs). This webinar will cover:

    • The new rules for unfair dismissal from 1 January 2027
    • What does a fair dismissal look like?
    • Spotlight on recent cases and tribunal trends for unfair dismissal cases
