WITNESS APPEAL: Did you work at these companies in Manchester in the 1960s – 1980s?

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by the family of the late John Williamson who sadly developed and died from asbestos related lung cancer.

John spent most of his working life working as a painter and decorator and between 1963 and 1968 was employed by Manchester Corporation. Between 1979 and 1983 he worked for Manchester City Council.  A lot of his work involved working in schools.  In addition, he spent short periods of time working for companies including Gilmores (Manchester) Ltd, Worsley Plastering Ltd, Arnold Sharrocks Ltd and G A Fryer & Sons Warrington Ltd.

Mr Williamson’s family are appealing to anyone who may have worked for Manchester Corporation/Manchester City Council during the dates noted above or for any of the other companies listed to come forward and tell us what they can remember.
