Ben Jenkins

Ben has in-depth and varied knowledge of property and housing matters garnered through wide-ranging experience working in the legal sector since 2018.

Having initially gained a Bachelor’s degree in War Studies and an MPhil in Politics, Ben worked as a housing law paralegal and caseworker from 2018 before embarking on his training contract in 2020, completing seats in property, litigation, and corporate services. He qualified as a solicitor with a specialism in property law in 2022.

• Assisting with property sales at large, medium and small-scale residential developments.
• Preparing and registering key documentation relating to the creation and transfer of resident management companies.
• First registrations.
• Advising on the acquisition of residential properties for letting by commercial landlords.
• Acting on conveyancing transactions arising from divorce proceedings and family court orders.
• Drafting leases and deeds of surrender in connection with commercial property transactions.
• Assisting with commercial property portfolio refinancing, including liaison with lender’s representatives.
• Advising on the surrender and re-grant of holiday leases.
• Dealing with transfers of property held in partnership.
• Drafting key documentation, liaising with mortgagees and assisting litigation solicitors in connection with the transfer of a high-value agricultural unit subject to a land dispute.
• Reporting on potential auction purchases.
• Assisting with sub-sale transactions.
• Drafting deeds of covenant in connection with property transactions.
