About Rob:
Rob is a Partner in our Compensation Protection Unit team based out of our Bristol office.
Rob has worked in the areas of brain injury for over 20 years. Initially plying his trade as a personal injury solicitor specialising in accidents of maximum severity, Rob transitioned into Court of Protection and Deputy work in 2011 as his growing client base needed that service. Since then Rob’s profile in the world of Professional Deputyship has grown.
Rob has spoken at conferences, seminars and training days on issues around the Court of Protection, capacity and the ups and downs of working with people suffering from brain injuries and their families. He has managed cases involving adults and children; large nursing care teams; buying and adapting houses to suit the client’s mobility and care needs; supporting clients to invest muti million pound settlements to help make the money last.
Rob’s background in personal injury means Rob can support the client and help explain how the process works.
Rob joined RWK Goodman at the start of 2025 having previously been a Deputy and catastrophic injury team partner in Cardiff. He is a graduate of Reading University and undertaken further study at The University of Glamorgan and Iowa State University in the USA.
In 2004, Rob became a Trustee of the Child Brain Injury Trust and subsequently chair of that organisation but retired in 2019. He is the chair of the Prop Appeal, raising money for the Rookwood neuro-rehabilitation unit at Llandough Hospital in Cardiff He is well travelled having spent time in Canada, USA and Mexico.
Rob is married and has two adult children. When not working Rob is in the process of renovating an old farmhouse and brushing up on his forklift truck driving skills. Rob’s interests include Liverpool FC, rugby, skiing and attempting things like half marathons and a sprint triathlon.
