About Jess:

Jess is a Court of Protection Solicitor who works in the Compensation Protection Unit assisting court appointed Deputies in managing compensation awards for clients.

In addition, Jess is also experienced in assisting Trustees in managing funds which are held within a Personal Injury Trust. Jess works closely with the team around the client namely: family members, case managers, therapists and care teams.

Jess assists with the management of her client’s financial affairs which includes but is not exclusive to:

  • Drafting applications, witness statements and notices to the Court of Protection
  • Assisting clients with the day-to-day management of their financial activities
  • Investing and managing client compensation awards
  • Working closely with the client’s families and professionals
  • Assisting with the purchase and adaptation of properties
  • Assisting with the employment of care teams
  • Preparing detailed schedules of income, expenditure and budgets;
  • Preparing reports for the Office of the Public Guardian
