About Gemma:
Gemma is an Associate in our Private Client team, based out of our London office.
Gemma advises on all aspects of wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, declarations of trusts for properties, inheritance tax planning and estate administration.
Gemma joined RWK Goodman in March 2025.
Gemma studied at the University of Sussex achieving a first-class law degree, before completing her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford achieving a distinction.
Gemma completed her training contract and qualified in September 2021 with a UK Top 50 Law Firm.
Gemma helps clients safeguard their wealth and plan for their family’s futures, with her friendly, patient and thorough approach.
Experience:
- Drafting tax-efficient wills such as complex wills containing life interest trusts and/or discretionary trusts, including for clients with business or overseas assets.
- Drafting and advising on lasting powers of attorney and general powers of attorney.
- Guiding personal representatives on all elements of estate administration including complex and taxable estates.
- Setting up and advising on all types of trusts, including preparing deeds to change trustees.
- Estate planning including advice on lifetime gifts outright or in trust, inheritance tax allowances and exemptions, gifts with reservation of benefit and business property relief.
- Drafting deeds of variation to redirect a beneficiary’s inheritance.
Memberships
Gemma is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Gemma has one module remaining of her STEP Diploma, which is a globally recognised professional qualification in the Private Client sector.
