Business alert: Companies House extends accounts filing deadline

Deadlines are usually very strict (unless there are extreme circumstances) with automatic penalties for late filings. Companies must therefore ensure they make any application for an extension in advance of their filing deadline.

Companies that have already extended their filing deadline, or shortened their accounting reference period, may not be eligible for an extension.

Companies are also being urged to file accounts online if they are able to do so.
