Share your views on Wiltshire as a location for business
Wiltshire law firm, Withy King, has teamed up with Wiltshire Council for a special edition of its quarterly Business Barometer to canvas company decision-makers’ views on the strengths and weaknesses of Wiltshire as a business location.
The Barometer gathers information from Wiltshire-based businesses of all sizes working in a wide range of industry sectors and tracks turnover, headcount, investment and confidence.
The latest survey, which is being conducted in partnership with Wiltshire Council, puts the county under the spotlight, asking businesses for their views on Wiltshire as a location and what more needs to be done to enable businesses to succeed and prosper here. The survey also explores how best to attract more companies to Wiltshire from other parts of the UK and abroad.
“We are pleased to be working with the Council’s Economy and Regeneration team on this special edition of Wiltshire Business Barometer,” said partner Malcolm Gregory, head of the commercial team at Withy King in Swindon. “Our Barometer is designed to provide a snapshot of what it’s like to do business in the region. We hear from decision-makers on the issues which really matter to them and find out more about the impact wider economic conditions are having on their businesses. The responses are often surprising and it’s interesting to see how they contrast with the national picture.”
“It is really important for Wiltshire Council to know how the business community is faring so that we can develop effective business services which respond to its needs,” said Tim Martienssen, Head of Service, Economy and Regeneration at Wiltshire Council. “We are committed to making this one of the best places in the country to do business. Working with partners like Withy King is helping us to achieve that aim.”
The survey closes at 5pm on Friday, 3 May. The results will be published and distributed to businesses. They will also be discussed in feature articles in the June issues of Wiltshire Business, Wiltshire Gazette & Herald and Wiltshire Times as well as online.
