RWK Goodman advises on the sale of Frontline Display International

Press release

Corporate lawyers from UK Top 100 law firm RWK Goodman in Bath have advised global retail design and experiential marketing company Frontline Display International on its sale to leading integrated marketing communications agency, Big Group, for an undisclosed sum.

James Worrall and Edward Chapman, from RWK Goodman’s Corporate and Commercial team, advised Frontline’s founder Phil Griffiths on the terms of the Bath-based company’s sale.

Commenting on the deal, Phil Griffiths said: “We were looking to align ourselves with a partner who could complement our results led offering. It was clear to us that Big Group has all the requisite talent to assist in our continued growth as we endeavour to integrate digital technology with the physical world of retail. But most importantly, we have a shared ethos and dedication to service excellence that benefits everyone – it really is a perfect match. I am very grateful to RWK Goodman for their advice and support during this journey.”

James Worrall, senior associate at RWK Goodman, said: “We are delighted that Frontline was able to secure the right buyer for their highly successful and ambitious business. We have enjoyed working with Phil on the deal and are pleased that we managed to achieve the result he was looking for.”

James added: “Despite the economic and political turmoil of the last 12 months, the South West deals market has remained encouragingly resilient with Experian having recently reported a record amount of M&A activity in the region.”

Based on Lower Bristol Road in Bath, Frontline’s clients include Merrell, Cleveland Golf, CAT, Derwent and Heineken.

Big Group were advised by law firm White & Black.
