RWK Goodman appointed as legal advisers for the new Grove Business Park development

UK Top 100 law firm RWK Goodman’s Oxford-based team has been appointed to advise on the development of a new business unit and office development at Grove Business Park, near Wantage.

RWK Goodman’s commercial property team in Oxford will be advising on the site set up and the proposed leases and sales of the 10 units which make up the new scheme.

Julie Acock, a senior associate at RWK Goodman, said: “We are delighted to be working with Grove Business Park on this next phase which will help to satisfy the growing demand for high quality, flexible premises in South Oxfordshire. These units will be suitable for a wide range of uses, bringing much-needed workspace to local businesses as well as those looking to move into the area.”

Richard Lyall, project director for Grove Business Park Ltd, said: “This is the latest phase in our redevelopment of Grove to meet the needs of a growing number of businesses that see it as a perfect location. With its proximity to the major road networks such as the A34, M40 and M4, it is ideally placed for firms to take advantage of the fast-growing Oxfordshire economy.”

The units will be available to buy or to let and are expected to be completed by summer 2019.

This is the next phase in the £40m transformation of the 32-acre business park which is set to double the building area to reach 400,000 sq ft. The development replaces a number of dilapidated former airfield buildings dating back to the 1940s. It will form part of the ongoing regeneration programme which could create up to 1,000 jobs.
