Hopes that bus tour will encourage a new wave of start-ups

A six-week national tour – which aims to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs around the country – got underway last month.

The Startup Britain bus, which will stop off in around 30 towns and cities, will be offering encouragement to those who are looking to launch their own business venture.

The tour, now in its fifth year, has received approval from the Duke of York and is supported by organisations including Entrepreneurial Spark, the National Enterprise Network and The Prince’s Trust.

Matt Smith, StartUp Britain’s director, said: “Interest in entrepreneurship is higher than ever and the only thing holding many people back from trying out a business idea is some encouragement and support.

“By connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with those a few steps ahead of them, as well as supportive local organisations, we want to give people the confidence to turn their ideas into reality.”

The grand finale of the tour is scheduled to take place in London on July 29th.
