Give to Gain: RWK Goodman’s International Children team brings professionals together for International Women’s Day
Marking 115 years of International Women’s Day (IWD), the impact of generosity and collaboration within the family law sector was explored at an event held by RWK Goodman.
More than 20 lawyers from firms across the sector attended an IWD event held by the firm at London’s Corinthia, focusing on this year’s theme, Give to Gain – the worldwide call to support through actions including challenging discrimination, questioning bias, and celebrating success.
The event was hosted by Kim Lehal, partner and head of RWK Goodman’s international children practice and a shortlisted member in the 2026 Women and Diversity in Law Awards for the Law Firm Leader of the Year – National/Regional Law Firm category.
Kim said: “It’s been a pleasure being able to bring so many experts within the industry together for a day as important as International Women’s Day to gain a snapshot of where we are as a profession and how we can continue moving forward. Bringing people together to collaborate, remove barriers, and promote success is vital; not just here at RWK Goodman, but the wider industry too.
“Ultimately, if we can continue to drive forward the conversation and give to gain ourselves, it can be some something which will only make our roles supporting our clients stronger. Different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds help drive innovation and ensure we’re remaining at the front of supporting clients who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences themselves.”
The event highlights the firm’s commitment to championing equality and fostering a strong inclusive culture, where all colleagues are encouraged and supported to follow their chosen career path, irrespective of gender or any other characteristic.
This commitment forms a significant element of RWK Goodman’s wider Responsible Business goals, alongside its merit-based talent development pathways that empowers diverse talent to step into more senior roles within the firm. This approach has ensured that in the previous financial year, more than 75% of staff promoted were female and a total of 48% of the RWK Goodman partnership are female, which exceeds the target of 40% by 2025 the firm set itself.
