During their conversation they cover details on the risks, expected results and process of bariatric surgery.

Mr Rao’s surgical practice encompasses benign Upper GI surgery, primary and revision bariatric surgery. He has extensive experience in the field of weight loss surgery and has done over 500 procedures with outcomes published in the NBSR – the national database. He is a honorary clinical lecturer and Surgical Co-lead at the University of Keele.
Mr. Rao is also a Regional Surgical Advisor and member of the Surgical Speciality Board of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is passionate about surgical education and training and enhancing patient safety. He has presented over 100 abstracts in national and international conferences and has published over 25 papers in peer reviewed journals. He also has medico legal practice focused on medical negligence in the field of weight loss surgery, general and emergency surgery and personal injury. He holds the Cardiff Bond Solon expert witness certificate and is on the national register of University certificated expert witnesses.
