Whilst most deaths are related to smoking, many are also caused by environmental exposure and, of course, exposure to asbestos. As well as lung cancer, there are various other forms of respiratory disease, including asthma and COVID-19.

Due to the nature of asbestos-related diseases and the fact that they tend to develop decades after asbestos exposure has occurred it can often be difficult to find the evidence required to prove a legal claim.
