£120,000 for fatal cardiac negligence claim against University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Our client's wife had been referred to the Heart Hospital in London 10 months previously, with the diagnosis of severe aortic valve stenosis, in order to undergo an aortic valve replacement.
There was a failure to react to her worsening condition and test results and a negligent delay in arranging treatment such that she died before her surgery was listed to take place.
The claim included compensation for the loss of a wife’s services as well as the loss of gratuitous babysitting services the Deceased would have provided to her grandchildren. Instead her children now incurred the cost of professional child minders.
