£12,000 recovered for client left with scarring following delayed treatment of cancer

Basal cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that is common and very treatable. Our client had an abnormal lesion on her face which was not identified to be cancerous despite several reviews by a Dermatologist. The examinations with the Dermatologist were inadequate and the lesion should have been simply diagnosed and removed. As a result of the failures, our client had to deal with a persistent and unsightly lesion on her face, which grew considerably in size by the time it was eventually diagnosed and removed.

We recovered £12,000 on behalf of our client to reflect the additional scarring she suffered on her size as a result of having a much large lesion on her face.
