About Paul

Paul has wide experience in representing corporate and individual clients in relation to commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and equity fund raising.

He acts for clients from a wide range of business sectors, but with a focus on the technology and cleantech sectors.

Paul has advised a large number of overseas companies on their European investment strategies, whether through acquisition, joint venture or greenfield set-up. He also advises investment funds, companies and management teams in relation to funding and other corporate transactions.

Paul is co-author of ‘Investors’ Guide to the UK’ (2nd edition 2005) published by Kogan Page.

Paul trained at Pannone in Manchester. After qualifying as a solicitor in 1986, he joined Taylor Wessing (then Taylor Garrett) and for the next 25 years, as an associate and then partner, was a key member of the team which grew the firm’s corporate, international and technology practices. Looking for a new challenge and the opportunity again to contribute to a similar successful growth story, Paul joined Goodman Derrick in 2011.

Paul has also during his career spent periods on secondment with Bank of America and COFRA London Limited.
