Through her expert advice on procurement issues, she assists companies in managing their legal risks, whilst balancing their commercial interests. Catherine has considerable experience advising on all forms of construction & engineering contracts, particularly the JCT and NEC. Under Catherine’s guidance, the firm’s construction & engineering procurement offering continues its steady growth.

Catherine has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating construction & engineering contracts, including those based on NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE standard forms and involving framework agreements, professional appointments, bonds and guarantees, project bank accounts, latent defects insurance, collateral warranties and third party rights.

She is adept at advising different project stakeholders on procurement strategies for all types of commercial, large-scale residential and renewable energy development projects, where she has worked with leading contractors, investors and developers.

Catherine commits to understanding her clients’ needs. She offers sound advice, clearly identifying potential risks where they exist, and identifies potential solutions.

She joined us from Ashfords, having previously worked at Osborne Clarke, and has worked as part of the in-house legal team of an international energy and oil company.

Catherine runs industry-based training seminars and workshops, for example, covering the NEC4 suite of contracts.
